The American Alliance of Museums is seeking a diverse group of volunteers to welcome attendees at the world’s largest gathering of museum professionals, which will be held in St. Louis in May.
The 2017 Annual Meeting & Museum Expo attracts leaders and decision makers from a wide range of cultural institutions, including art, history, and science museums; military and maritime museums; children's museums; aquariums, zoos, arboretums, and botanical gardens; and historic homes and sites. Volunteers will be needed to assist with logistics at the Annual Meeting – held May 7-10 at America’s Center in downtown St. Louis – as well as assist at tours, workshops and other events at area museums.
Volunteers must live, work, or study in Missouri or Illinois, commit to a four-hour shift, and attend an orientation session. Volunteers will receive one complimentary day’s registration at the conference in return for covering a four-hour volunteer shift.
